The Starting Point of ALL Achievement is…

“The starting point of all achievement is DESIRE. Keep this constantly in mind. Weak desires bring weak results, just as a small fire makes a small amount of heat.”
— Napoleon Hill, author

So what is it that you desire?

Do you have enough fuel to get you fired about actually achieving what you want? The fuel is your reason why, “Why do you really want this?” The more reasons to achieve something the more fuel you put on the fire, the bigger the fire the more heat is produced and the more likely you are to continue to go after what you want.

You will undoubtedly run into some obstacles along the way, you will get distracted, thus you will want a burning desire in order to continue on the pursuit of achieving your desire.

Merely having desire will not manifest the attainment of that which you desire, but burning desire will lead to the actions which will start you on the path to achievement.

First transform that burning desire in to a definite purpose then into consistent, persistent action in the direction of your desire.

Miserable or Strong?

“We either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same.”

— Carlos Castaneda, author

The work we put into making ourselves miserable is the same amount of work to make us stronger and happier! So why don’t more people focus on getting stronger?

There just seem to be more people that complain and have negative energy all around us. That negative energy is CATCHY! Watch out! When you are around negative people they just suck the life right out of you. They bring you down with them and that’s why it’s so easy to be miserable. Get around people that lift you up, that feel good to be around, that are positive.

We all choose our emotions. We all choose how we react to everything that happens. How are you reacting to life, whether you are going through some tough times right now, just came out of tough times or will soon be going through tough times, how you react and feel about the situation are up to you.

Take responsibility for your feelings and emotions. Realize nothing has meaning until we assign a meaning to, knowing this are there things in your life that you can reassign meaning to so that you win, so that it doesn’t make you miserable.

Choose to be Strong… Choose to be Happy!

Everything is a Miracle…

There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. -- Albert Einstein

How are you walking through life?

How do you see the world?

Most people are drifting through life without ever really looking at what is going on around them…Where are they? They are in a fog, a self delusional fog, where they are so focused on the circumstances of their life that and the negative attitude associated with it that they are essentially zombies.

Nothing impresses them. Nothing intrigues them. Nothing sparks their imagination. Nothing gets them to say “Wow! Isn’t that interesting?”

These are the people that life happens to, they are always complaining about how life is so hard, why does this always happen to me, nothing exciting ever really happens.

Wake UP!

There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”

Look around you!

Do you not see all the amazing things happening in the world, all the technology, the medical advances, everyday nature? Kids are great at this, walking around in curious amazement, asking questions, wondering, imagining. So why does that stop for most people. I don’t think I ever grew up, that is one thing that I never lost. Other parents look at me a wonder “What’s wrong with him? He is the biggest kid on the playground.” Or “Look at him, a grown man sledding down the hill.” But what they think of me is none of my business.

What I find is that when you see everything as a miracle you are much more open to new ideas, different ways of doing everything. You can see things from a different point of view, admit that maybe you don’t have all the answers, which opens the doors to unlimited possibilities.

Open your eyes to the world around you, start imagining again, start questioning. If you aren’t where you want to be and you need to make some changes, start with yourself. Nothing changes until you change. And the only thing that you actually have control over are your thoughts, and the way you see everything in your life. Problem or Opportunities? How you look at everything and how you respond are up to you, take back control and open your eyes to amazing new things.

Change the way you look at life and you will change your life.

Jim Rohn

For more than 40 years, Jim Rohn honed his craft like a skilled artist-helping people the world over sculpt life strategies that have expanded their imagination of what is possible. Those who had the privilege of hearing him speak can attest to the elegance and common sense of his material. It is no coincidence, then, that he is widely regarded as one of the most influential thinkers of our time, and thought of by many as a national treasure. Jim authored countless books and audio and video programs, and helped motivate and shape an entire generation of personal-development trainers and hundreds of executives from America’s top corporations.

Born to an Idaho farming family in the mid-1900s, Jim was ingrained with a work ethic that

has served him well throughout his life. At 25, he met his mentor Earl Shoaff. And over the next six years he made his first fortune, yet didn’t get into speaking until he moved to Beverly Hills, California, when a friend at the Rotary Club asked him to tell his success story, which Rohn titled “Idaho Farm Boy Makes It to Beverly Hills.”

His speech went over so well that he received more invitations to share it, and better yet, they started paying him for it. In the beginning, he spoke in front of college and high-school classes and at service clubs, before moving on to seminars in 1963, which launched him into the personal-development business. From then on, Jim Rohn became a trailblazer in the self help and personal development industry, impacting the lives of millions through his life-changing material.Jim Rohn focused on the fundamentals of human behavior that most affect personal and business performance. His is the standard to which those who seek to teach and inspire others are compared. He possessed the unique ability to bring extraordinary insights to ordinary principles and events, and the combination of his substance and style captures the imagination of those who hear or read his words.Jim is known as one of the great wordsmiths of our time. Here is a sampling from Jim’s Treasury of Quotes that reflect on his philosophy on life and business:

Skills: Don’t wish it were easier; wish you were better. Don’t wish for less problems; wish for more skills. Don’t wish for less challenges; wish for more wisdom.

Growth: Don’t join an easy crowd. You won’t grow. Go where the expectations and the demands to perform and achieve are high.

Change: We generally change ourselves for one of two reasons: inspiration or desperation.

Activity: The few who do are the envy of the many who watch.

Success: Success is what you attract by the person you become.
